One summer I participated in a float trip down the Current River in central Missouri. A float trip is when you paddle in a canoe over oftentimes rapid filled rivers. It is definitely exciting. At certain points as you travel down the river, as you turn the next bend, you are greeted by fellow travelers who have already landed with their canoes for a little rest on a sand bar. It is a time of relaxing, swapping stories of the great adventure, and gathering courage to step back into your canoe to take the next leg of the journey. Finally, with a increasingly rapid beating heart, you shove off in your canoe. This book was meant to be like your sand bar. Before you set off for the next step in your journey, prepare to discover the excitement God has in store for you even if there is some risk. Yet remember too, you can always stop at another sand bar down river to re-focus again in the context of your spiritual name, your experience of God, your spiritual identity, your relationship with God and your calling with your spiritual profile and life planner so you can set your ship, your life, in the direction of God's blessing for you.
